The "Savage" hitmaker will take over hosting duties from previous host Doja Cat, after the rapper tested positive for Covid-19 and had to pull out.

This year's VMAs will be held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Other performers include Lizzo, Jack Harlow and Måneskin. Megan Thee Stallion is nominated for six awards at this year's ceremony, including Video of the Year for "WAP" featuring Cardi B.
